Week 7 : Back at School and back to Work!

Everything is back to the normal routine.

Our plants are growing. There are flowers on our pea-plants and the radishes were ready to harvest.
So on Friday we pulled some of them out

 washed them and....
ate them! They were lovely and crispy.

We worked on the computers and created a document to attach to an email.

In maths, we worked on understanding shapes and describing their properties.

School Trip: Fun Final Friday

We're just about to go to our last pony riding session this morning.

Last night the kids had a blast at the disco. There was a dress-up theme: crazy. And they did very well with that. Some kids were wearing one gumboot with a slipper, undies on their heads, pictures on their faces. At the disco, they danced their socks off! Lots of fun!

Here are some shots:

School Trip: Thoughtful Thursday

Today was such incredible day. The very first place we went to was a boat. But it wasn't  any old kind of boat. That boat that we went on was some kind of a small one.
We saw a part of a river called a lock that is some kind of an elevator  for a boat. The water was going up and down.
After we went to eat lunch in some kind of place. When we finished eating we went to a goat cheese factory. The goats were so cute. We got to hold the babies! After we went back, and we ate snack.

School Trip: Terrific Tuesday!

We had a really fun day today!
After breakfast, we played sports outside. Thankfully it wasn't raining so we got to play different team sports, like cat and mouse chase and football (soccer). Then we had lunch and in the afternoon we jumped on the buses and went to the pony stables.
We split up into 3 groups and rotated around 3 activities: grooming the ponies, riding the ponies and going on a carriage ride. the students even got to drive the horse on the carriage.

A lot of students asked when we going to do this activity again! So they really loved it!

Here are some pictures. Sorry for the quality.. it was dark and dusty at the stables.

(Don't forget, you can see LOTS more pictures at www.thevictorhugoschool.com)
